After the journey in Katmai National Park (Brooks Camp and The Valley of Ten Thousand Smokes), we continued our quest to Denali National Park.
From Anchorage we took the bus to the north. The road goes through picturesque landscape towards the Alaska Mountains Range.
At a certain moment the giant Denali appears dominating the mountain range and the surrounding flat tundra.
We entered the Denali National Park area. We camped in tents.
In the first day we wandered in the Polychrome Pass area.
Our camp was visited by rabbits.
They probably feel safer close to people, where the lynx is not coming.

Ptarmigans
There is a lot of red color in the landscape; we tried to understand where it comes from.
The westbound road through the park brings us closer to the Denali Mountain.

Grizzlies are the same species as the brown bears we saw in Katmai but they have a golden color.
The bears enjoy sweet roots.
